Audi has premiered its new 2012 Audi A6 Avant estate in Berlin, Germany last month. Compared with the previous generations, the new A6 Avant is more agile and efficient. A variety of diesel and petrol engines are on offer. These include a bi-turbo V6 TDI engine which can deliver 313 PS.
However, the 2.0 TDI manual is said as the most efficient power-train. It can deliver 177 PS, with 56.5 mpg of diesel consumption and 132 g/km of CO2 emissions. Built from aluminum-steel composition, the A6 Avant 2.0 TDI has 1,640 kg of weight.
The new 2012 Audi A6 Avant is 4.93 meters long, 1.87 meters in width, and 1.46 meters in height. Such impressive size definitely adds to the overall quality of the car. It must be more convenient and accommodating for the occupants.
A variety of transmissions are also available: S tronic twin-clutch, multitronic CVT, and manual transmissions. The S tronic is fitted on the quattros, while the manual and multitronic are fitted on the front-wheel drive models. Bluetooth Internet connection, MMI Navigation Plus, and Head-up display come as optional fitments.
