By combining supercharging and turbocharging, the newest version of the new Audi A1 is able to deliver the highest output to date.
The Audi A1 is powered by a direct injection petrol engine of 1.4 liter. The engine has maximum horsepower of 185 PS and torque of 250 Nm.
The supercharger will be active from around 1,500 rpm. It can receive additional influence from the turbocharger when reaching 3,500 rpm.
The combination of supercharging and turbo-charging allows the Audi A1 to accelerate from zero to 62 mph only in about 6.9 seconds. And the top speed achieves up to 141 miles per hour.
Yet, not only making the Audi A1 to accelerate very well, but the twin-charged still also returning a combined fuel consumption figure of 47.9 mpg. And the result of the combination is emissions of carbon monoxide of 139 g per kilometer which can be considered low.
The Audi A1 is a premium compact car, equipped with Audi’s S line specification and S tronic twin-clutch transmission as standard.
In the United Kingdom, the new Audi A1 1.4 TFSI S line 185PS has been already available to purchase, started even from last week. The car starts its OTR prices at £ 20,705.
